Sandi and Jerry have been making Christian music together their entire married life. In following their passion for over three decades, the duo has performed countless concerts and worship services, written a wide variety of songs - including Christmas music and children’s music - and appeared on TV and radio.
They have an EP and two full-length CD’s to their credit. The Rectenwalds’ newest album, “For Ever and a Day” features fifteen tracks, including: “Jesus Is My Rock”, which was formerly released as a single; and 2 bonus track re-releases from their 1987 EP, “We Are Remembered” and “Constant For You”.
Based in Western Pennsylvania, Jerry and Sandi have four grown children. A song on their first CD, “Jerry & Sandi Rectenwald” features the song, “One Heart One Life” about their first daughter, Abby Marie, who was born premature and is with her Savior in heaven. The lyrics to the song are included in Bernadette Keaggy’s wonderful book, “Losing You Too Soon”.
The couple’s “We Are Remembered” was written for a special grief recovery ministry of the same name; and is dedicated to the memory of Jerry’s beloved niece and nephews, Robin, Billy and Brian Ennis, who tragically lost their lives in an automobile accident. The duo is humbled to know that the song has been an inspiration and comfort to many.
With numerous accomplishments behind them, Sandi and Jerry are pressing on, as they write, record and perform their music (they are currently working on an album of all original Christmas songs). With joyful hope, the couple continues to “work out their salvation with fear, trembling and music” to God’s glory.
