For Ever and a Day

History

The church that Sandi and I are blessed to be a part of, First United Methodist Church of Ellwood City, was facing big decisions as to how we were going to carry out our ministries and mission in the light of difficult new realities. God placed on my heart this simple praise song, the words of which juxtapose the uncertainty of life with the certainty of God’s abiding presence. The combination of the song’s hopefulness and our son Noah Rectenwald’s wonderful production made it our choice for the CD’s title cut.
